In my opinion, there are two types of people:
One
type of people DO admit that they used to gamble, either occasionally or frequently. Other
type of people DO NOT admit...! They
used to say, "I never gamble...!" Are
they really not involving with any kind of gamble...? What
is the definition of 'Gambling...'? Going
to casinos, clubs, racing, ... are generally
treated as gambling. But,
from my point of view, the following
businesses or careers are also 'a different form
of gambling': 'they
do, why shouldn't we?' - type of businesses or careers; unethical; not within the general norms of business or career;
not within the legal framework; anti-moral; direct money businesses; short-cut money earning ways and
betting - either legally or illegally.
Unfortunately,
there are so many individual persons, directly or
indirectly involving with it; or doing as part-time or as a hobby. Any
business or career will have their own ups and downs, successes and failures, profits and loses etc., But
'these different forms of gambling - businesses or careers', though having ups, successes and profits,
will certainly lead to 'THE WORST ENDS'! We
could easily 'see' lots of people's 'ENDS'! Those
'ENDS' must be a lessons to us! Again
unfortunately, it seems that we are not learning from these lessons! Let
us analyse our activities! Let
us NOT involve with any kind of gambling! Let
us live a good life! Let
us really, loudly say with joy and pride: "I
never gamble...!"
