A woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. She met a
traveler who was hungry,
and the woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry
traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him.
She did so without hesitation.
The traveler left, rejoicing
for his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough
to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came
back to return the stone to the woman.
"I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the stone is, but I give it back in the hope
that you can give me something even more precious. Give me what you have with you that enabled you to give me the stone."
Let us think about the
traveler. He was really
fortunate, met a lady like her, seen the precious stone, got the temptation to ask it from her and got it without hurdles.
His fortunate was only up to that. That's all!
What made him to return the stone back?
His 'over-smartness', his 'wisdom', his
'analysing mentality', his 'not having self-satisfaction mentality',
etc., etc., made him to lose, what he was having! I won't accept 'it'
as just 'greedy'! 'Greediness' is not
a bad attitude! But the 'greedy'
with 'over-smartness', 'wisdom', 'analysing mentality', 'not having self-satisfaction mentality' are only bad,
for anybodies' life development. Let us have
'self-satisfaction' of what we have! Let us 'keep-up' the
valuables of what we have! Let us live
'with our life'!
