This method tries to take into account the varying menstrual cycles, which is normal between different women.
This method is used by many modern medical practitioners.

First physical signs. Enlarging & painful breasts.

Stomach shows a little... but just a little.
The heart is going at 130-150 beats per minute.
Normal first scan.

Moving into second trimester
Time for the 'triple test'.
All systems in place.
The first hairs arrive!
Uterus is about 16 cm.
First movements of baby may be felt.
Buy the book of names. It helps with the waiting.
Half way there!
Baby is half of the size it will be at birth.
Normal second scan. (Can discover sex of baby!)

About 30cm long and 650g in weight.
Into third trimester
Explosion in mother's size. Baby has more needs!
Eyelids split apart. Baby can see things!
Baby begins to take over your lives.
Maybe breast milk is produced.
Back pains and tiredness. Be glad to stop work soon.
Normal third scan.
Baby moves more. Can feel every body shift or kick!
Don't get anxious yet! Time enough for that later.
Prepare that suitcases for the hospital.
Baby can descend. The first signs...
Rate of growth slows, but still things get bigger...
All organs mature, except lungs that need a little more.
